There is no denying that the qualities of our living have gone from bad to worse. My tip is shopping in internet.

Invest some time to look at ads and find coupons. And then take those coupons to places that do double coupons so therefore instead of saving 50 cents you are saving a $1. The biggest thing though with this is not to just buy stuff because it is on sale, but because you actually need the stuff.

Then the best thing to do is just to budget yourself. Figure out what bills you absolutely have to pay and then work on figuring out the things that you might not necessarily mean. This might mean cutting back on your minutes on your cellphone plan if you know you really don't use then or getting rid of a home line if you never use it and are always on your cell phone etc. Little things add up, also I use to have an APR on my credit card that was 18%, by just calling and saying that I was going to do a balance transfer if they couldn't beat my other credit card's percentage they dropped it to 13%.

I would tell them to stick to things they need rather than all the goodies they want.I would write a list before i went that way you will know roughly how much things come to.Try to work out a list of meals they are going to have for the week before they go shopping.That way they will only get the things they need rather than things they do not need.

Coupons, Coupons is my deal. I do my bulk shopping once a month. That way I do over spend every week. Yes, it harder because the good stuff always gets eaten first. This way I maxize my coupons and buy one get one free items. I have a freezer in the basement so I try to stock up. I buy big bags of dog food and cat food less trips to the store. I try to compare ads/advertisement in the newspaper like Acme vs. Giant. Vs. our Local store Redners and Weis markets see who Has the best deals before I do my bulk shopping. I do this night before.
Do not foget online coupons are good for the same item that you have a manufacture coupon for.

hi Bart, nothing new or spectacular here when it comes to shopping hints.
We are checking all the supermarket flyers with the bargains every weekend so we know when we can get some items with a good price.

Of course shopping at the cheaper places instead saves money too, also buying generic stuff instead of brand name, or trying it out as oftentimes it tastes as good as brand name.

Last but not least we have a list of fresh and frozen stuff there is in pantry, fridge and freezer. Its according to its best before date so we know what needs to be used up, it also prevents buying something which is there already when you look on the list first and then do the grocery shopping list.

Of course that list needs updates, I manage that list with the help of the computer and when the print on the fridge has enough stuff crossed out I just print the newer version.
