someone sending emails in your name

I have had someone sending emails in my name for spamming. They are in China and aol cannot do anything about it. They have got into my address book. What I have done is put a three letter name in all my email addresses in my address book so that when they send them they get rejected as no address. It is easy for me to take out the 3 letters when I want to send an email. Has anyone got a clue how I can stop this though please
