Are You Man Enough?

Despite being called a "man", still, there are certain things and behaviors that made a man less qualified to be called so. I bet, most men wouldn't agree that they are not man enough to be called a real man. I wonder, then, how these men showcase their masculinity and man-ness. If you are truly a man, how do you prove that?

I have seen that there are some men think that a real man means they have to be strong. In my eyes, it is wrong completely to define the real meaning of man. In fact, there are no straight and obvious relationship between man and body. Living in such a society, it is a fact there are more and more men who just like to be act like females, which is really a disappointed thing. In my eyes, a real man should be hardworking, patient and invincible. Most famous real men are well-known for his courage and fortitude instead of strong body or well-developed muscles.

With virtue, strength and respect. Its not manly when you are watching adult films at work even when there's female co-workers around. Its not manly when you cheat. Its not manly when you lie. And you must also be respectful in-order to be respected. A few men contains these traits so i guess there's only a number of real men around...

Interesting discussion! To me, calling someone a MAN is a compliment. I don't like it when I hear on the news an item about someone who did something horrible and he is referred to as a man. I think 'male' would be better because it is a term that doesn't hold any value judgement. Think of "manly". That sounds strong, admirable, to me. But male just means "of masculine gender". Could be any sort of guy. That's what I reckon anyway. Some may agree, more may disagree. hahahah that is ok :-)

Hi dear! I think there is nothing to prove to anybody if a person is a man. It is quite visible and discernable from the outlook. The great God has made a man and a woman differently. There are some traits, which are peculiar to a gender. Also, all mean cannot be alike, some may be very bold and courageous, some may be very rude, some may very outspoken and on the other hand some may be very decent, polite and humble. I think a person cannot have all the (positive) traits in him.

Well, it depends on your body scientifically. Having more male hormones makes us more manly, having more female hormones makes us feminine. It all depends on our bodies and our DNA in our chromosomes. If i am not wrong the male hormones are called testosterone and the female hormones are called estrogen(correct me if I'm wrong)

I did not realize that we must "showcase" our masculinity. I think many people's definitions of "a man" are different. Women may have their definitions, which may vary greatly from mens'. To me, being a "man" means being responsible for my family. Being true to myself, and others. Secondly, I do not have to prove anything to anyone, as I have already done that throughout my life. What about women being real women? Do women have to conform to my view of what a woman should or should not be?

Roughness of the skin and character, Anger , more desire for physical satisfaction, wilderness, the harsh voice, ability to make female pregnant, leadershipness in the family, moustache and beard are the characteristics of a MAN.

You can show off your manness like a woman shows off her maturity... by how you meet challenges. You can only tell a person's character by how they meet challenges and how they consider the needs of others as well as their own. And that they are able to know that they can meet any minor challenge without fear. One of the issues in the abortion debate here is how to keep the baby's father involved in the life of the new family created. That is sad - - that so many boys think they are becoming men by making a baby, then turn away. Hope that answers your question.

My Dad thinks that playing sports shows you're a man. I think this is all cavemen mentality...well, to an extent, it is. I'd be interested in hearing what males think. Good topic.

hi there, but some men like to be act like a female, such as some korean boys. actually i like to communicate with those men who act like real men, powerful, humorous. and i think a man prove his man-ness through many ways. such as be powerful on work, play games that women do not care about. and one thing is important, that's caring about his girl.
