do you think headphones are overused

the rate of people having hearing defficiency is on high note and increasing.the use of headphones is said to be be one of the major factor.i see every day many people walking,talking,eating,sleeping(my dad) with the headphones on.whats your say

I love headphones! As a matter of fact, one of my friends is called headphones! It's not the headphones' fault that the user is going deaf! As long as you set a volume limit on your ipod, you'll stay safe. I think my headphones are plugged into my ears for about half of the day!

They have become a necessary evil! For not intruding on others space! I went thru the 60's listening to the rock and roll of that era. Back then the headphones were large and cumbersome, but they put out the sound! I'm now 62 and find myself asking more and more "What", "What'd you say". It's annoying for others and I regret using them back then! tdemex
