I love to read but I prefer those of Sidney Sheldon's because of the tricky twist in every chapter. Sometimes, you anticipated a particular ending but finding at the last chapter that you have anticipated it wrongly. It is also fun for me to play sleuth while reading in progress and see if my hunches were all correct. Though, I'd treat myself to a Mills and Boons to feel that romantic mood at times. Who tickles your imagination best?

My personal favorites are John Grisham and Paulo Coelho. I love Grisham's legal fictions, especially The Firm, The Chamber, The Partner, etc. The plot twists and revelations are very surprising and unexpected. Most of his books are definitely page turners - you can't stop reading once you have started. I also like Coelho. His books that I have read so far are mostly about love with a touch of religion-related topics. I admire him for his respect to every religion on earth. When reading his books, the reader should be open-minded.

Hi there, Soledad.:-) This is a very late reply and my apology for that... You should grab a copy of it. That book really taught me one important lesson in life, and that is not to give up on life and dreams. And, that God will always guide us throughout ou journey in seeking and fulfilling our dreams... Happy reading to you always.;-)

I prefer inspirational and self-development books like that of Paulo Coelho, Leo Buscaglia, Dr. Ben Carson. M.Scott Peck and John Gray. Their books are deeply moving, spiritual and very inspiring. But back in college I devoured the books of Sidney Sheldon because the stories are great, full of suspense and thrilling.

I fell in love with Sidney back when since I was in high school. The first book I've read that he wrote was If Tomorrow Comes. From then on, I never stopped loving his works. Well, inspirational books are good ones to gain positive thinking. Yup, I am often rereading Paulo's works whenever I sense that I lack motivation and inspiration... Thank you for sharing. Have a great weekend.:-)

Add to the list John Grisham. Good books, good authors. I've been reading a lot of David Sedaris' work because he's funny and his take on life is interesting. He's sarcastic and witty so I find his books a good read whenever I'm in a not-so-good mood.

I particularly like Sandra Brown. Her books have a lighter tone than Sidney Sheldon and the love story is her her highlights. I would suggest though that you go for her earlier works, her more later one have gotten more serious.

Well, when it comes to reading and authors, a lot of times, it really depends on what I am in the mood for. For true crime, it has to be Anne Rule. She is a local author to me, and I have met her son. For Romantic adventure I enjoy Debbie Macomber and Danielle Steele. I have met Debbie Macomber. I also have read a few of Stephen Kings and John Grisham, so overall you see it really depends on my mood.

Paulo Coelho is my favorite author right now. I started reading his books when a good friend of mine recommended his books. The first book that I read is Warrior of the Light. The content of that book are short notes on accepting failure and overcoming obstacles in life. After reading Warrior of the Light, I am encourage to read other books of Paulo Coelho.
