In India all the major cell phone service providers have started advertising business and this is causing inconvenience to the customer...may it be airtel or reliance, so many advertisement call and sms's that if u busy in some work and u receive that call it feels like throwing away the cell phone...i have numbers blocking system and i have blocked more than 10 numbers, but still they keep changing numbers and call from new numbers....and what rubbish sms....some site links are given..and they say to get the pics of the famous actors/actresses of hollywood/bollywood go here....as if people dont have other work to do...do u have same problems in ur country too? Just want to know whats going around the world....

it is a common problem with every service provider. but you can avail of the DND facility (Do Not Disturb). in most cases you have to send an sms to activate the service. i am using bsnl and reliance. activating DND has certainly made a lot of difference. you can check the website of your service provider on how to activate this service (as it is different for every service provider). DND facility has been made mandatory by TRAI and is strictly implemented. in extreme cases you can also file a complaint with TRAI (that is if your DND option has been violated)....good luck.

You can easily restrict them by registering with don't call me services. It is a very simple procedure.

I live in Australia and I would be quite happy with my cell phone provider if it wasn’t for the fact that every time I use my cell phone from my house it cuts out! I phoned the help desk about it and was told that my house is a so called ‘black spot’ and that it will be fine if I walk down the street and talk from there! Sounds reasonable doesn’t it? Especially if it’s raining! There is a good chance I will be changing providers some time soon which is a real shame because it is a great plan but not much good if I can’t use my phone from my own house!

Same here...Yeah, thats just sucks... But, hey thats the facts! I think they should be more professional in doing their jobs/services! Not only for profit and profit!
