the relationship between step-son ,step-daughter and step-parents.  

I honestly believe it has to do with certain situations. My step-son and I had a fantastic relationship. I made him porkchops (which he loved), he would play little pranks on me, we would wrestle and have pillow fights, etc. It was a dream situation for me. I have two children from a previous relationship and they love their step-father to death. They are only 6 and 4 so it was a pretty easy transition. He plays with them and treats them as if they are his own. Their father isn't around, so I'm very thankful of this. The only difference is his son is almost 12. I was so scared on what his attitude towards me would be. I was so happy when it was as warm and happy as I could have hoped for. The real problem came in when he went home to his mother after his visit with us and he started talking about what we did, that I made him porkchops again, that he had fun with his step-siblings, and accidently slipped and called me "mom" in her presence. Now we corrected him right away because we don't like that he calls his step-dad "dad". She had a cow. When he came for visits after that, he wouldn't play with my kids, he called his dad by his first name, he said he didn't want to be here. He even went as far as to tell me that he no longer would eat any pork because they were a dirty animal. He will still eat bacon, ham, and pork sausage....just not porkchops. So,yes, step-parents and ste-children can have a wonderful relationship. But if one of the biological parents feel as if they are threatened....it can go South quick at their hand.

well ,i don't have much idea about that how this relationship goes there in America , but its nice if , step mother treats the child well......you should never do anything wrong with the child , even if your his / her step mother its alright........after all child is child..........
