Hello dear myLotters. There are many beautiful and impressive places in countries around the world. I had the good luck of having the opportunity to visit some of them. They are ofcourse unique in their own ways. One place I had been so impressed was "Mount Fuji" (Fujiyama) in Japan. That was an awesome site, so beautiful and impressive. You must have seen some unique places too. Which is the place you have been most impressed ?

I'd love to see 'Mount Fuji' - but it's a very long way away!
I think there are many places I've visited that greatly impressed me. Gdansk, in Poland, I thought was beautiful; I also loved the Dalmatian cost (Croatia), as well as Albania and Montenegro.
My most recent holiday was on the Greek island of Lesvos, which I thought was stunning. I am lucky to have visited so many beautiful places!

Well I have never been off the island but I happened to go on our north coast where we have many tourist attractions ,to a place called "Cool Running ".This is basically a place for water sports .There are many tubes and you slide down the tubes in rubber tubes sometimes in single tubes and other times in double tubes. Its a real fun place and I would go back even though there were times when I was scared especially when I left the tube and had to spend some time under water before surfacing .

I went to Italy a few years back and was looking forward to climbing Mount Vesuvius. My family couldn't believe I was going to climb an active volcano but I did and loved it. Surprisingly, that wasn't what impressed me the most. When my group took a trip about an hour away from Rome we went to Villa d'Este also known as the Tivoli Gardens. We were okay with it, but not horribly excited. Then, we got there. I was just amazed at this place, or should I say palace? It was built for a Cardinal and was definitely built to impress. There are hundreds of fountains...and Im not kidding. There is a wall of bushes called the Hundred Fountains where a hundred lions spit out water. Then there is a huge fountain that is at least three stories tall...maybe more. I couldn't really tell but you had to go up a few flights of stairs to get back up to the palace and you could see the fountain water from inside the palace. Even more impressive, this was built by the Romans without modern technology - there are aqueducts under the ground that they somehow got to make fountains. A truly amazing and beautiful place. I could have spent hours there but we were with a tour and only given an hour and a half.

I have been so many places as i like to travel and go on cruises a lot. One port that we stopped at was in Jamaica and i was so scared to get off the ship and go see a house that a friend of ours had built there. I was so upset how people live there and how the kids are being brought up with no clothes or shoes to walk. We saw a school getting out of session for the day and kids were walking home in a uniform and no shoes i just felt like crap because I'm so picky of how i want things and then i throw away shoes that i get blisters from and now its like when i go on a cruise i want to bring things with me just to give to these people because i feel so bad for them and they need things more than we do here in the United States. This was the saddest place i have ever been too.
I went to Washington just a month ago and had the best time ever and it was amazing seeing the National Monument and the Lincoln memorial and the Koren and Vietnam war memorials that stand their. It was great and to see all that was just wonderful as i had so much fun just seeing history as i am a history person myself. It was great to see up close the white house and the state capitol. It was wonderful and amazing.

Well, to me, and impressing place is a place with lots of adventure, fun, and looks nice. I think this is Florida. Florida has many nice beaches, and at the same time you can go to the theme parks and have a blast. I have been to places that looked way nicer but the places were not as exciting.

Hello my friend Green Line. I have visited many beautiful and stunning looking destinations. I have had the good fortune to go to 50 different countries in the world so far. My favorite destination that I have been to is Samoa in the South Pacific Ocean. It has palm fringed beaches, green rain forest, an interesting culture, an unspoilt landscape and cool waterfalls. I was very impressed with the landscape in Australia and its unique wildlife. I liked the glorious scenery in New Zealand and I found the walking tracks superb.

I don't mean to brag or anything but I have been to so many places that it's hard for me to decide which was the most impressive. If I could name one, I guess it would be the Alps in Switzerland. They are so beautiful! We went to the very top of one and it was 10 degrees below 0 up there!!! Talk about cold!!! This was in the summertime, too! They had a gift shop up there where I bought a necklace. Kathy.
