Did anyone else see the wings play Dallas tonight? Or at least have you seen the clip of Brad May being totally boned by the official. If we could do away with any rule of our choosing it would be the one that says all that matters is the officials intent to blow the whistle. If he intended to blow that whistle he made up his mind at the same time May took the shot! The puck was in the net a full 3 seconds before he blew it..I was pretty sure Babcock was going to take the chance he would get fined during post game, he didn't let me down, whatever they fine him is worth it, he couldn't not say something.
These two teams have the lowest number of penalties in the league and before we were through the first period there were 6 penalty minutes served, the officiating went down hill from there.
Okay I'm done ranting..sorry to see the wings lose this one, turned over way too many pucks. Hopefully they will do better Friday against the Panthers. Ozzie should be back by then. He is supposed to be over the flu.

Call me a purest but I would do away with the shootout at the end of a tie. I didn't and I stil don't mind ties. I'm sorry to hear the Wings lost. I saw that they are 7th in the west, 7th!Ouch. My friend is calling this season a building season. I guess if they keep tis losin up , he will bne right. I hope they can pull off a win over The Canes. Not only would this help them but it will help my second favorite team , the Caps.

I don't mind the ties either. When they first started the shootouts I didn't like the idea, now I actually enjoy them, as long as they stay regular season only, they have no place in the playoffs as far as I'm concerned.
Lots of people are calling this a building season. It is, and we have so many new guys that it is bound to take some time for everyone to become the red machine we know them to be. You add to that the talent missing from our line-up due to injuries and it is what it is. They are my team in 7th or last place.
Didn't I just see the caps lost someone else to an injury. What a season for so many different teams..Hopefully this means everyone will remain healthy for post season!

Hell will freeze over before they would change playoff hockey. The Caps have a few guys out because of flu and some for injuries. They are my local team but I Know the roster of The Wings better.
