I dont wish to live for more than 60 years.A chat buddy of mine who is from america (yahoo id- indo_girl5000)laughed at me by saying that an indian's lifespan is only 65 years and an american's lifespan is 80 years.I got hurt when she said like that but when i thought about my grandfather who is 87 years old ,and suffering a lot of pain because of his old age,i feel like living lesser is better.

Definitely mate,it is better top live a shorter and more fruitful life rather than a long and arduous one where you become a near vegetable and is dependent on others for the smallest of things. It is better to pass away in your sixties when you are still capable and strong enough to handle yourself.

Enough age to see my grandchildren and great grandchildren but not beyond 100 because I don't want to be the cause of their burden.

I agree with you. But instead of living upto a particular I would wish and pray that I live untill I am diseased. If diseased I must be permitted to end my life by refusing food. There is no point living on Life Support and being of trouble to our family. So, long as we are healthy and are able able to manage things i.e. our daily routines I mean on our own I don't see why I should not be living whther it is 70, or 80 years. Why I say this is because I personally have a lot to do I mean keep myself busy with activities I like, love and live in hope for. My job doesn't give vent to even 1% of my usable brain. So I am eagerly awaiting my retirement in the fond hope of finding expression for my creative urges. So, that is the reason I want to live. That is why my prayer is for good health till the day I live.

If I were to choose, I wouldn't like to live very long years as in living up to 80 years old. I think that by that age, I will become a liability to my children and close relatives. Maybe, I would like to live just enough to see my children secured and doing good in their own families. I would be happy to see my grandchildren when I am still active and strong to hug and kiss them. I know I need to stay healthy to be able to live to attain that simple wish.
