obsession

I think people want or need to feel as if they are in control. Especially of events directly affecting their lives. When someone falls into a relationship with another person, they are volunteering to forfeit some of that control based on faith. When it doesn't work out they feel a certain level of anger at having given it a shot... Thus the obsessed fight to regain their life.
