As a tradition, we spend our family day during Sundays because most of us are off from work during the said day. Going forward, we spend our family day by first attending service in our church to thank the Almighty Father for all the blessings He bestowed upon us during the whole week, dining in a restaurant, bonding and spending quality time in game stations with the kids, lounging by letting the kids play around the park. Other than that, if there is a good movie, we all go to the movie house. Spending quality time with my family is a real treasure and makes a fantastic feeling and achievement a father can have during his lifetime.

When I was still small Sundays after church service we usually go to the beach because it's very near home and we take our lunch over at the beach. Later on, Sundays after church are spent malling, eating lunch at the mall, occasional beach or resort relaxing and staying at home for movies rented in the video shop.
Also now, we are still into board games. And we also visit other relatives during Sundays.

Family day, well in India, not many people are acquainted with this term yet I guess they spend most of their time with their families only. Apart from my office, I spend whole day at home. Even if I am on the way, I am talking to my family members: sister, brother, or my husband. So I think I am a complete family girl.

I do exactly the same as you do. I'm a single mom with one son, and works till evening every day, so Saturdays my son can have his fun, and I always tell him that Sunday is "Mother's Day". When he became a teenager, it was difficult to keep this routine for a couple of years, but I just will not give up. I know if I lose this routine soon, he'll grow away from me. Now, I'm glad to say, he's an adult an I have my Mother's Day back, and we became good friends. I hope he will do the same once he has his own family. Maybe once a month it still will be "Grandma's Day"..ha ha
