Do you consider spanking as an effective way in disciplining a child?

As parents, there are instances when are kids pissed us off that we sometimes cannot control ourselves but to spank them for them to know that what they just did is wrong. I consider it an effective tool in disciplining a child for them not to repeat same mistake again and again. For me this is also a tool to mold a child in becoming a good person. Furthermore, spanking is a good practice to avoid children becoming brats in the future.

Spanking is nothing more than an intimidatin tactic, and rather than being a way to correct child, it's nothing more than a way to scare children into not doing something. Set boundaries from the beginning, and one will never have to spank a child. And if a parent can lose control of their own actions as parents, then they are not fit to be parents in the first place.
