How to keep the memories of a dead person...alive in our heart and mind?  

I am so sorry to hear about your friend. That most be awful for you. I am sure you will always keep your friends memory alive.

Man or rather his body is mortal though the soul is eternal.Everybody has to pass away.birth and death are the only true realities of our life and noone can escape death.You lost your friend to whom you were very much attached, recently.I have already told you, do not mourn her passing, perhaps that was all the time she had in this life of hers. If you want to keep her memory alive and fresh in your mind, think of all the good times that you had together and how much you enjoyed in her company.This will bring a smile on your face and will also make her happy in whichever world she has gone to.If you mourn and keep crying then her soul will get disturbed so be happy for her and she will also be happy wherever she is.

I'm sorry... It must be very difficult for you. I lost my aunt in a similar way - one moment she came to see me and nothing seemed wrong, a few hours later she was dead after a heart attack. Her death caught me completely unprepared and left me in such a state of severe depression that I needed medication for a while. Even now, after eight years and radical changes in my life, it still hurts. I guess she will always be alive in my heart and mind, but some memories are just too painful to recollect. The only consolation I have - the thought that gives me strength every time somebody I love dies - is that, in a strange way, they are fortunate for finding the big secret before me, while I am still here, torn by conflicting emotions, wondering about my meaning in the world.

Memories of our dead one are always alive in our minds, we never forget them and I think we are always in contact with them. You may have often see dreams of your old ones, playing with you, or talking to you. So I think memories are always alive, this doesnot require any effort from us to alive them. God is there to give you patience and he ll keep all the memories alive, for you come to your normal life and see that there are things which needs your care.
