Most of us have heard about people who try to remove the "Under God" part of the Pledge of Allegiance, or of the "holiday trees" instead of Christmas trees at schools these days. In many schools children are not allowed to pray (mine was one of them) in public.
I remember one time when I was in school (actually a small town known for being primarily the religion that I practice) I had brought a Bible to read during my lunch time. When officials of the school saw that I was reading a Bible on school property I was asked to put it away and out of sight or else it would be confiscated.
Now I am all about the right to practice your own religion, and I choose not to impede on anyone's right to do so... but does that in this day and age really become no person is able to practice their religion in public and government places because others may be offended? They have the right to practice their religion just as much as I do, and I want for them to have the right to do the same things I am asking for.
So what do you think??

Personally I think that all this hype about religion is just that,HYPE. What does it matter who we pray to? What holiday we celebrate? I think that religion is just another way to try to controll the population. I am very sorry but I don't care what anyone says, I am not going to change the way things are done just because someone claims to be offended. I put up a CHRISTMAS tree not a holiday tree, and while I don't try to get other people to celebrate my religious holidays, I would not expect to be celebrating theirs. So unless someone is saying that you HAVE to celebrate their holiday/religion, you have no reason to be offended and I think it is ridiculious that we should have to change for these people. No offence I am all for immagration, but if I immigrated to your country, I would try to respect your religions and such, as immigrants I think it is important to remember that you are comming into a different country, that country should not have to change for you. I think it is stupid to expect people to change thier way of life because you CHOOSE to come here and as such you should accept the country and all it's religions. I know that if anyone tries to tell me who I can pray to, what I can celebrate or anything else, I am going to tell them where they can stick their HOLIDAY TREE!
