Are there things in your life that give you I Love Lucy moments?

I have written about my friend and what went down between us in here before. Basically it goes like this: I had a long standing friend who I went to stay with for a few months. When I left there and came home she started accusing me of having stolen from her. I didn't and I kept trying to find out why I was being accused, why she was acting this way. Never happened. Then she went on to threaten me with contacting the authorities. I couldn't believe it! Obviously still can't. I ended the friendship because I felt no real friend would acuse another of something they knew wasn't true and then go so far as threaten the authorities on them as if they wanted some affect. But here's the rub: I used to set and watch I Love Lucy and The Golden Girls with her all the time. We would laugh and talk about 'the old days' while we watches these silly shows for hours. It was a great time and good memory. Now though I cannot watch either show. It hurts too much and it reminds me of her. Do you have a 'I Love Lucy' moment? Some show or happening that reminds you of some sad thing in your past? What is it and why?

For me it's a movie..Tango and Cash with Kurt Russell and sylvester stallone. My mother-in-law loved that movie. When she got really sick and was getting ready to leave us she would insist that we watch that movie every day. The thing was she was so sick and taking so many pain meds she would doze off at almost the same spot every time, but if you tried to shut it off it would wake her. Then she would wake up at almost the end of the movie..get upset because she had missed her favorite parts and make us rewind it and watch it again. One day my sister-in-law and I got to laughing about it and couldn't quit, this went on for weeks. It was almost like an I love lucy episode..
To this day I can't bring myself to watch that movie, but I remember my mother-in-law fondly every time I see it's on.

Yes, I know what you mean. I see a listing for I Love Lucy or the Golden Girls and it brings feelings up in me. Some days if I am feeling alittle blue I do some reminescing. I wonder if she ever has these feelings, if she ever misses 'us' and our silliness and laughs and good times. I wonder.
