Road trip , Farm house , Peace on earth .

I remember when I was young and my dad used to pack us all in the car's back seat to go up-country for the December holidays. He used to drive all the way , almost a four hours drive to get to our small farm in the country side where we would spend the rest of the holiday eating and living off the land.
It was a nice experience , and generally people are nice during the December season cause I remember laughing and playing and really releasing my inner child the last time I visited our old farm house as a grown up .. like two years ago .. good memories ...

It is really a very sweet memory which reminds me of my childhood. I was living in a small town located in the northeast of China. I was living with my grandma before my age for school. we pick the fruits ourselves when the cherry were ripe. also for the tomatos. we played and caught dragonfly in the shadow of the big tree right behind grandma's house in the summer. And in the winter, no cold could prevent children from looking for fun. we were skating on the ice which is made by grandma in the garden. it was really a happy childhood. But time has gone forever.....

It is excellent to think back to enjoyable journeys that you did in the past. Yes, most people are in a good mood leading up to Christmas time. People become even more jolly for New Year because of celebrating the next year. I spent one Christmas in Australia during 1993, another Christmas in New Zealand during 2001 and one New Year in Turkey during 2003. I usually fly on a plane and then travel around on local trains and buses. I am glad that you used to have a lovely time staying at the small farm.

Thanks for sharing with us. I remember my dad also do so. Farm life is good and peoples are real great.
