What's the difference in them as far as their uses go. The only thing I know is that parchment can go in the oven, I'm not sure about the wax paper.
I know my Aunt makes some chocolate treats & puts them on wax paper to cool.
So tell me what do you use it for?

definetly no wax paper in the oven.after the wax makes a mess, the paper may catch fire.
i use it just for seperating layers of things.like candies, cookies, etc in tins or on plates.

I use parchment paper when I bake because it keeps the cookie sheets clean. I also place my truffles on parchment paper so they will stay fresher in the fridge.
Parchment paper is safe to use in the oven and wax paper is not. I use wax paper if I am making up tins or baskets for gifts.

Wax paper is coated in wax, and can't be used in oven, as where parchment paper is coated in a silicone, and can go in the oven. Wax paper is used for putting cookies on to cool, sticky type things, so they don't stick. Parchment paper is used to seperate cookies in a container.
