Holiday is coming. I would have my grandson choose what he likes for the gift. But before settling down, I would suggest he go around the toy shop to have a general idea what are available, rather than pick up what comes to first sight? How would you pick up the gifts?

Prices do matter for me in choosing gifts for my loved ones I see to it that ever thing I gave is very useful to them & that is something that they will cherish for a long period of time. Atleast when they will use it they get to be reminded of me.

lucky me i dont have to brain storm on picking a gift for anybody. my wife does that and i think yearly she makes a good job on doing it. she also makes sure its affordable and good quality and she makes sure that the person who will receive it will be happy with that. about kids she would ask parents what is their favorite cartoon character or something like that. a niece of mine loves hannah montana so i know that is what my wife will get for her.

It is good that your wife takes the big challenge of gift preparation, and also a great fun for most ladies. However, when you have your own children, he or she would weight heavily gifts from Daddy! Thanks for responding.

Okay, first of all, how old is the child? What does he or she like? You may want to talk to your grandson's parents to see what he likes. I have a 4 year-old nephew who loves superheroes and cooking, so I buy him superhero things and I buy him cooking toys for children. I have a cousin, a boy, who is almost five, and he loves cars and vehicles. I buy him Matchbox and Hot Wheels cars. Tonka trucks are also great. Those are classic! His twin sister, who is almost five as well, of course, loves princesses. She wants to be a princess. Well, problem solved on this one. Get her the whole Disney Princess set. It might be $60, but for her, it's worth it. I had the whole Disney Princess set when I was a child, so did all of my friends, and I think it only fair she has it too. You have to know the kids and know what they like. They will usually love any toy you give them.
