hi friends.this discussion is mainly for those fans who acknowledge the slogan,"if cricket is a religion, then sachin is God". well its pretty much confirmed that tendulkar will retire at the world cup 2011. so you wont be seeing tendulkar play another match.what will happen then? will you stop watching cricket cuz you know if there is no God,y bother with religion? or will you find a new role model and continue to watch cricket? being a fan of tendulkar,i will probably quit watching cricket after sachin retires ( that is if dinesh karthick never get selected in the indian squad) come to think of it,i never watched any matches india played while tendulkar was injured. i know that legends comes and goes but cricket goes forever but seeing the way things are moving with cricket with all those T20 addiction,i believe by the time my son enters his teens, cricket will be lost. so how about you?

IT is very sad to see no one has replied in this discussion because i think this is one of the best topics you have decided to write on. even i think i will not watch much cricket after sachin tendulkar retires other than t20 cricket of course since sachin never played international t20 cricket. even during the match we just won i switched off the tv for quite some time when sachin got out. i think a lot of people will stop watching cricket once sachin retires. hope he plays longer than just the 2011 world cup.

he might play even after 2011 cuz he never said anything about retirement. but 2011 is a world cup and it has been tendulkar's dream to win the world cup for india which he almost achieved during the 2003 world cup. i believe he will be happy if he can get them through to the quarter finals. personally you cant find a better tournament to retire for a player of the class of Tendulkar. good to see you back again.
