Now and then I see new friend requests and I assume it is one of the mylottians who has responded to my request, like my discussion and would like to add me as a friend. However, I have had 2 mylottians who added me then sent me spam askin me to take a look at so and so a site. Anyone experienced something similar?

Oh my, I should be more cautious in accepting friend requests now. Since I'm new here, I accepted all the friend requests. Hmmm, as much as possible, I don't like receiving a lot of spams.

Well dev, as long as you have a strong and powerful anti virus, you need not be afraid of any virus entering into your computer.

Oh my, that's exactly what I'm worried about. I think my anti-virus has already been outdated.

It has happened to me too. I guess not everyone is in the website to have fun or to follow the discussions. Those "internet bots" are everywhere.
In my case, I just ignore those kind of messages.

I usually accept any friend request which comes to me. Till today, I have not had any problems, like spam. Of course some body sends a message, to take a look at their web site. I do not consider it as a spam, and usually take it as a help to a friend.

One can't get a referral without asking someone or paying for it. This happens in a almost all social networking sites. I do not mind such messages. The reason is simple. These messages can inform you of new and old paying sites.
Since Mylot does not encourage putting referrals in discussions, messaging is the only way.
