hello everyone.my mind seems to be troubling with one question.im sure that everyone is aware of the terrorism that is taking place.its true that the muslims in afghanistan or iraq or where ever it took place had to suffer a lot because of some of the westerners.and thats the sole reason why all the terrorism is taking place.it is true that hurting the innocent people isnt the way to pay back for what they and the women in their country have been subjected to.but ofcourse those muslims do deserve mercy as well.so what do you people think is the best way to compensate this.please i must include that im not against of any of the people described above.i mean both the westerners and muslims

There is no compensation for lost life and property and refugee status…only thing the western world can do is withdraw immediately from Iraq and Afghanistan and leave the Islamic world to its own fate. Each and every nation and race have their own way of doing things and democracy may not be acceptable to all…this doesn’t mean that it can be thrust down their throat just because the western nations want to.

Your Iranian friend probably liked Saddah Hussein bumped off coz Iran and Iraq have always been at loggerheads over their respective religious belief...Shia & Sunni troubles and they are not the best of friends, even in the Islamic world. We all know that USA did not bump off Saddam to help Iran!
The only reason the US is in this is for Iraq's huge oil reserves and Afghanistan's huge reserve of natural gas...the former USSR was there for the same reason...the taliban were created and helped by US to get rid of the USSR and now we all are in this mess.

How can we get out of this mess, and stay out of it? I don't even know the proper solution, and then you have to factor in the politics of it all.

I have a question. America thrives off corporate greed and will not stop. As much as many of its citizens want it to stop, and consumptionism, and the big business takeover, etc, I want it to stop, but it won't. The abunantly wealthy run our country.
I feel we were dragged into this "war on terror" as a guise, and its only a rouse to protect our oil reserves.
I feel us invading other countries, and hiring people at one penny a day, violates fair trade laws, and it needs to be stopped.
The "terrorists" are the only ones who seem to take action against this corporate greedy way of life.
That said, America has to stop its bad behaviour, if they want the Islamic world to stop their bad behaviour.
I do have to say, I have an Iranian friend who abhors George W Bush as much as I do, but he did say he was very happy Sadam Hussein had been taken care of, so there is definitely something wrong with Sadam Hussein, and Iraq, but what? No weapons of mass destruction were found, and American's easily buy into staged terrorism so we can nationalize and get patriotic and kill.
What in the world is a sustainable solution? This is a huge mess!

i think it is really impossible to compensate and comprehend with this kind of case. But i am very much like you, i do want peace and i do want to end this miserable situation the world has today. I think the best thing to have peace is to give way with each other. And stop the holy war as well. I do not know.. maybe... well it is really confusing when we will talk about this topic cause today peace is very much impossible to achieve but i am still hoping that this will end. And i still have faith in God that he will help us with this problem.

I am lost on this one. I always thought it takes radicals to make differences, and in some cases, that is where terrorism comes in. I don't know why members of the muslim face particularly want to attack westerners.
But, I do know why a lot of countries would: We are greedy. We have greedy corporations. We don't provide healthcare to our own citizens, take our own citizens civil rights away from them while prancing around saying we are the land of the free. We invade other countries, stake our claims to their crops, their natural resources, capitalize them, and make an obese sum of money, paying those who work in our sweat shops a penny a week, patent their rain water, and the list of what we and wall street is allowed to get away with in the name of corporate expansion goes on and on.

I appreciate your discussion about this. Muslims have stopped in research and technology field, and all things left on Allah. but What can Allah do? If Muslims does not do hard work, THEY deserve to be third world country. i am not against Muslims and i know that those tali-bans and al-qaida are not Muslims. They deserve punishment. Muslim world is behind from westeren and eastern countries due to their own mistake. They just can call summits but no action. They are not even united to do trade in one currency. So they deserve to remain in line of third world countries.

dhinil.. its not about the westerners and muslims but its the war between selfishness and peace.. these selfish people are capturing people with greed and other innocents with financial problems and brain washing those people and making them to commit crime... even latest news is kasabs(mumbi attack) statement says that.. its all about the game played by selfish people..
