Happy Chicken Gizzard Day!

The day is waning at last..the football is done. Don't know who won, but its the people that make the event a memorable one. The leftovers have been divided between the kids and families with special notations made of who has what bowls that are expected back. The grandkids played their hearts out and ate like champs..Only had one minor squabble with the little ones over who gets the turkey legs this year. We taught them about sharing..And now that its time to leave they need be peeled from the floor and livingroom furniture, full of celebration and exhausted from the days events..Awww, ain't it wonderful? Yeh it is..However, Liz is off pet-sitting and another holiday is put on hold until we can celebrate it together. The critters of the household, having no notion of holidays and believing the day special simply because THEY are involved in it, have been fed and I have been relieved of duty until they desire my attention again. And I can finally settle in and enjoy MY special holiday fare..this year..fried chicken gizzards..YUM! Fried chicken gizzards is one of those things that I grew up on but that's not tolerated in the house when Liz is home and being a weird sort, as I wax nostaligic, my tastes drift towards the foods I grew up on.. The question is..after all this tadoo..are there any foods that you enjoy that you need enjoy in secret because other folks don't want to deal with it? I'm already planning Christmas dinner..liver and onions, potato bread rolls, farm cheese...ECSTASY!...Enjoy!
