A boring Thanksgiving party, I shouldn't go

Today, I was invited by my friend to his thanksgiving party. I was expecting something like more food and festivity. Me and my other friend both were invited, and we went there early because he just moved to a new house, and we were not familiar with the direction. Unfortunately, we didn't enjoy that party as much as we expected. There were many people we didn't know, and we don't have common topic to chat about. I think most people there were stuck - up, and they like to show off who they are, and what they know more than other people. Ultimately, there was absolutely not much food to be served. They only food I could see is pizza, potato chips, and doughnut. So my friend and I make up an excuse and leave that house early before everybody else. What a boring thanksgiving party for this year. I hope that everyone shouldn't join some party like that.
