Who gives a better deal, Blockbuster or Netflix and why?

I love movies , but I am just curious as to which online DVD rental company is better, is it Blockbuster or Netflix? Here in the Philippines, brick and mortar DVD rental stores are more viable than online rental DVD stores because of the technology. Not all companies can afford to put up such service, that is why the "tingi" system works, or buying things not in bulk,but in small amounts.
What I want to know is who offers the better deal in terms of customer service, value for your money offers and DVD availability and quality, is it Blockbuster or Netflix? Thanks!

So, netflix doesn't exist in Phillipines? Right here in the states, Netflix is more popular than blockbuster, and many blockbusters are closed down due to the netflix and redbox companies great and innovative ideas. That is business, with the online technologies, we have to innovate the business models too.

I don't really like either. I'm skeptical about both because you have to have memberships or subscribe or whatever. I prefer to rent dvds from Redbox. Where I live in the US, they are kind of like ATM machines for movies. You don't have to have a membership, the movie are always there and there are no due dates- just $1 a day for everyday you keep the movie. Plus you can return the movies at any Redbox, and there are tons of them in grocery stores, and by fast food places.

It depends where you live if you live close to blockbuster then you should get blockbuster unlimited pass because you can exchange videos in the store which is awesome and you can also save five dollars on video game rentals which is one thing I love about it. But if you don't live near blockbuster I would say netflix is the better choice since I hear its faster and I think it's cheaper then blockbuster is plus you get to watch online movies to.
