All about unresolved discussions

Yes you are right, a discussion is unresolved until BR is given. When BR is given then it becomes a resovled discussion, people can still discuss on a resolved discussion though!

Hello Yugasini. I do believe your right. I know I only have one unresolved discussion but it is because no one ever answered it. I don't know but I think it is best to resolve discussions before it is the end of the month. Just because a discussion has a best remark don't mean that it is finished though. I believe it is a good thing that when you have a discussion to leave it on here so we might learn from other responses.

Hi yugasini, I personally find it very difficult to select a best response on any of my discussion topics. So I have many unresolved discussions. It is because I feel that many members contribute to the discussion in their own manner and among them it is difficult to choose any one as the best contribution...I would rather have it this way , and members can keep on contributing to them as and when they feel like it...All the best and happy mylotting..

Hello yugasini this is checkmail and thats correct that the Discussion is unresolved until one of its response is marked as best response by us.We all try and keep our discusison for atleast a week or two normally, and the best response is choosen.There are still some discusison that are unresolved as there aren't much responses to it.Even these discusison are resolved after 3-4 weeks time.In myLot Resolved discussion means that its closed, and no longer will select any best response from further responses.Even we get some points or earnings for resolving the discussions.Hope you get this point.Happy myLotting.

Thanks for this discussion. This reminded me to check on my unresolved tab and rate those who deserve a best response rating. I need time to be fair enough in doing my rating. They all deserve one but not all will be lucky enough to receive a BR. I personally responded to discussions even if it has already a BR as long as the topic is of my interest and i really have something in mind to share.

Hi yugasini! You are absolutely right! I tend to award the best response for my discussions after 24 hours of posting it. But now, I have it changed to 1 week not unless I don't see the response as best. Once you choose the BR, it will not be seen on your "unresolved" tab anymore. But this doesn't mean that the topic is ended. It will still be available for other responders. yan

When we start discussion, we have to wait for a while and then select one from all the responses received for that discussion and mark it as Best Response. Till then the discussion will be pending waiting to be marked for Best response and will be appearing in the Unresolved list. Once you award the Best Response to some response, it will disappear from the unresolved list but continue to be available for posting a response by others.

Hey yugasini! You are correct! An unresolved discussion is simply one that you haven't picked a "Best Response" for yet! And although sometimes that is quite difficult that it what mylot admin considers needs to be done in order to have a discussion considered "resolved"! I think I have a few of my own to resolve, so I had better get to it!

Most of the posts on Mylot are unresolved discussions. In fact Most of what I see on here aren't discussions at all. Discussion are a series of brief back and forth messages. Most people start a "discussion" and then never even bother to see what people's response were. Or there may be a one time response and that's it. I would say that less than 1% of what's on here are discussions.

Hi Yugasini I always choose the best response once a few weeks or a month has passed. It is good for me to see many responses before choosing the one I think is best. Yes, those discussions we start will always be in the "unresolved" area/tab until we do choose a best response for each. Have a good day. Karen
