Why would you want to ban such a wonderful day? In my country it's only a day of celebration and not an official holiday so I think the industry wouldn't really be bothered if people celebrates valentines. Valentines is not for couples only, it's a day of sharing love so you really could celebrate it with everyone else

If you enjoy the holiday then why ask if it should be banned? Just like Christmas and Easter, It's one of the most comerlized holidays. Shouldn't that alone say something? If your concerned about the money, then sure I could see it. But, what I don't understand is why ask the question if you have no personal objection to the holiday. I'm sorry I can't help you.
Personally Holidays in general have lost their meaning. Too me that day is the last day I have to file taxes.

No, we should not.. But we should ban how people go all out for Valentine's Day. Some people spend too much of money where they end up in serious debt. Reducing how much money is spent on this day should be monitored by everyone. It is wonderful that a person wishes to express their love for one another. But, when you have put yourself to the point of being broke, then that is when the line needs to be drawn.
