Should youth engage in politics????

I think it is imperative that everyone should take at least some interest in it. Even if only at the local level where things directly affect our lives. I am a political junkie, I eat sleep and breath politics and government matters. the more educated we are in it, the more control we have over it. No one should ever just blindly trust a government or politicians, it is dangerous and servile to do so. WEare the ultimate guardians of liberty, us, the people. We should never trust government to safeguard freedom. Their interest lies in growing their own power and removing it from the hands of it's citizens. Freedom comes at the cost of vigilance.
