I definitely like the old Sweet Valley High series. i found it funnier and I like the stories to end in each series. Reading the Senior Year is like watching an episode of a teen angst drama. The subplots on the old SVH are also better.

I completely agree with you I love Sweet Valley High and still have them on my bookshelf that I will read now and then I think they are classic! I wish they kept it that way as the later ones were too overly dramatic and stretched out a bit too long. But will still read them I wish they'd reprint them Elizabeth and Jessica rock!

Oh I agree arystine:)And it is nice to find someone who enjoys Sweet Valley the way I do.Not too many people read them I think they are timeless and should be brought back to life. And I think modernizing a few things and keeping with the format would be cool..I will have to keep an eye out for them.Out of all the spin-offs I have to say I did enjoy the Sweet Valley Twins series as well..and Winston is my fave SV character after Elizabeth and Jessica:)

I also enjoyed Sweet Valley Twins. In fact, I like them better than SVH. They're so hilarious and I also love the Super Editions and the Unicorn Club. I like Winston, too and Lila. Even though I am already grown up, I still treasure my Sweet Valley books.

I didn't even bother reading the SVH Senior Year series because some reader reviews said its plot and characters were totally different from the old Sweet Valley High series I have always loved and enjoyed reading.
