How much is too much PDA? |
| |
| How much would you consider is too much public display of affection. I usually don't care or mind if people want to show each other affection in public but we have to draw the line somewhere, right? I mean, holding hands, cuddling, or kissing isn't too bad. But a couple practically mauling each other out in public for anyone to see is really pushing it. I'm sure no one wants to see things like that, especially in the mall. Unfortunately, that was what I saw. There was this couple sitting at a nearby table doing just that. It was a very disturbing site. And I wasn't the only one thinking it either. They really could not control themselves and it got so bad that someone called security on them. The security guards had to break them up and tell them to leave. I really thought that that was really inappropriate behavior by this couple. They shouldn't be doing that in public where anyone can see, especially little kids. | | | | | |

| | I reckon as long as all the body parts are covered then they can do what they want. I must say, I have never been disturbed by even the most bold and upfront displays of affection, in public. But here in the UK is very different from the United Staes, and things that dont seem to really be issues with us, or most of us, do seem to be issues in America. Why should seeing two people being affectionate in public disturb you? And people displaying affection in public arent harming small kids are they? Dont yuou think that sometimes we can be just a wee bit over protective I think we will probably best agree to differ on this, lol | | | | | | |

| | Well, I don't really care when I see people being affectionate by holding hands, cuddling, or even kissing. It's when they take their affections a bit too far that bothers me. I mean, the girl was basically on top of the guy and they were being kind of vocal too. I just think that things like that should be done in private, that's all. But thank you for responding. | | | |

| | The enthusiasm of youth!! Tell you what, I would rather my kids had seen that, than say seeing people fighting!! Just a thought where it is in the bigger picture. | | | |

| | I completely agree with you. That type of behavior is really too much in public. Sorry I can't elaborate more, you pretty much expressed my feelings on the matter to a tee. | | | | | | |

| | I think PDA is too much if it inappropriate for the kids to see it. Public places are for everyone including the little ones. Imagine your kid actually seeing 2 people kissing torridly and doing their act, it could be shocking for them. If you want to do your thing and cannot control yourself, go to a private area where it should it done. A smack, holding hands, quick kiss are something little kids can manage to see. | | | | | | |

| | You're absolutely right! I couldn't have said it better myself. Kids are curious little things after all and I'm pretty sure their parents would not want to explain what those two people are doing over there. Talk about awkward. | | | |

| | RAYACHAN YOU ARE SOOOO CORRECT !!!! Kids do cover their faces not private areas, and when they are really small its nothing for them to rip a diaper off and run around thinking its funny. I know my boys did and now my 15month old grandson does it. Drives mom crazy I just laugh because Ive been there already. | | | |

| | hugging kissing and cuddling is fine in public in my eyes. It's when the clothing is getting ripped off and the grouping is going on is when its inappropriate and not just for children to see. Your experience must have been close to this for security to get involved. There are plenty though that think even kissing and putting arms around each other is wrong. I just had a woman make a very nasty remark to me just a few weeks ago in the grocery store because my fiance and I had our arms wrapped around each others waist pushing a cart we gave each other a quick kiss and she had a fit right there. It was a 2 second peck not some long drawn out french kiss or anything. All I could say as passing by was "What ashame that not everyone is happy and have let love into their lives. its just so sad." Oh I wanted to say so much more but that must have been good enough because she went storming off and wasnt heard from anymore. | | | | | | |

| | I think people going all out in a small public place is bad, if the area is large then i believe others can avert their eyes. But there is limits, for myself i hate too much because it makes me uncomfortable. But too each their own. | | | | | | |
