So many of us have a flair for writing in our own distinctive ways, and at the same time hoping to be able to maybe earn some crumbs from it online, personally i feel its not so much whether we have the talent to write but more on being able to decide what to write about to be able to earn some revenue, cant really write what we wish all the time if cannot find an audience, and thats the difficult part, selecting a topic that has a better chance of being read , is there anyone with tips on how to pick hot topics?

I just usually think of the things during the day and think it would be a good thing to discuss or it usually comes to me when I am not at home.Or before I go to sleep

are you talking about writing discussions on here or selling articles? if on here then i think you should just write about what you are interested in, if it is articles there is a market for just about everything but it's best to write about things you know a lot about.

just saw where this was posted. ok so this is about writing a book then - i think that is a fairly personal decision and although certain subjects or genres are more likely to sell well they may not be what you want to write about, or actually would write well. i think generally speaking you should write what you feel suits your style and knowlege best.
