Apparently this fight is going down. Fight is slated to take place in the middle of March, but more than likely will happen in the beginning of May. Mayweather has agreed to terms and it is all up to Pacquiao to agree and sign the contract. As previously stated in an early discussion I predicted that Floyd Mayweather would win and I stand by that decision. This is a fight that boxing needs to reestablish itself as a major brand of fighting which is something that UFC held for the longest time. With UFC being in a desperate state with aging stars and numerous injuries it is now the time for boxing to possibly emerge as a dominant brand again. This mega fight is slated to have possibly 3 million PPV buyers not to mention the capacity crowd it could draw. The three places of interest that have been rumored are Dallas, New Orleans, and Vegas. Dallas to me would be the best place to host the fight. Dallas stadium from my understanding holds 100,000 people for a regular football game. You throw a time ring at the center of mid field and your looking at a possible 150,000 to 200,000 people in attendance. With all of the hype lets face it money plays and issue as well. Each guy is slated to take 50% of the purse evenly which could lead to each guy being payed well above 60 million dollars a peace. Lets crunch some numbers quickly. PPV runs about 60 dollars for boxing which would lead to 180 million dollars if they attract 3 million buyers. That is just for PPV which isn't to mention the amount of money they are going to get for ticket sales as well which could easily run another 50 to 60 million on top of it. All I know is that this fight is going to be one for the ages. Boxings best hope is that these two great fighters get a split decision and end the match in a draw which would lead to a possible rematch fight which could be worth 100's of millions more especially if the fight is as exciting as we all hope. All I know is that we are in for a treat when these guy square off in the ring. The defensive styling of Floyd Mayweather against the hard punching Pacquiao.

This could be an exciting fight. I hope both fighters agree with the terms since it's usually the money that's the main problem. I will go for Pacquiao. As long as the weight is even Pacquiao will win. But it's going to be a hard fight for Pacquiao but his speed and power will be his main advantage. Cheers!
