Where do you meet new people?

I'm going to be moving soon, to a different state. I do know some people where I'm going- I grew up there. But I also want to meet a lot of new people.
I know the obvious places like work and school and neighbors and stuff, plus I like to go to concerts, so there's that, too. I was wondering if any of you guys on mylot had interesting ideas? :o

I meet people at my work, university, the discos, parks. I do not only meet people but I meet friends. Sometimes in public transport. There is so funny. I all day travel in buses full with students and young people. Of course everyone who have PC meet people in this virtual place. It is not bad, I have 3 very good friends and i meet them in the internet. When I go out to celebrate something I meet people again. People are everywhere but you will meet them only in a place you going. If you want to meet someone special you should take a dog. You will take it for a walk and you will meet someone with dog too. It is good way to meet somebody. You will have a general topic for conversation. If you want you may try going yoga or you may try practise some sport or go on dance course. Boys all the times go there just because they want to meet some nice girl.
