Where does your freedom of speech starts and ends?

Freedom of speech has been a vital aspect of our rights as human beings. When this is suppressed, then it indicates human rights violation. What is your personal opinion concerning freedom of speech? Do you think, you should express whatever you feel even if it hurts someone, as long as it's the truth? I know this is a case to case basis , but what if, this freedom of speech is applied to a friend? Do you lie to a friend to protect her? or do you express what you really feel because you believe that it is your freedom? Where does your freedom of speech begin and end?
