Last summer I had a wonderful time in Delhi and its neighboring historic place,Agra. On may 2,at about 4 p.m.,we started for Delhi by Rajdhani Express from HOwrah. We were six in all in the tour. It was a moonlit night and I was simply charmed to look at the passing scenes outside through the window. As the night advanced, the compartment became silent with only the rhythmic sound of the train and occasional sounds of coughs and snoring of the passengers.Next morning we got down from the train and stayed at a lodge. After lunch we went to visit the places of historical interest-the Red Fort, the Moti Masjid, the Jumma Masjid and the Qutub Minar.Next day we also visited the parliament House, the Santiban, the Rajghat and the Bijoyghat. On the following day we went to Agra where history speaks out everywhere. The special attraction of Agra is the Tajmahal, one of the wonders of the world. It was built by Shajahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaj on the bank of the river Jamuna. In fact,it looks like a dream in marble in a moonlit night. The abandoned fort of Fatehpur Sikri at the outskirt of Agra city is a place where history breathes and sighs before our eyes and ears.In fine,I can tell that the visit to Delhi and Agra will ever remain imprinted on my mind.

I am glad that you had such a wonderful visit. I am not familiar with the area, but I have heard of the Tajmahal. I love to receive the opportunity to travel to new places. My most recent trip took me to the Glasgow, Bowling Green, and Cave City area of the state of Kentucky, in the United States. I had a really good trip, but it seems there is never enough time to do everything that you would like to do. I would like to go back, but then again, there are so many other places that I would like to visit as well.
