oh yeah!
Nahhh! haha! Of coarse, they love the story behind it. Aside from staring at Edward, they like the twist and how the story was captured in this film. I honestly don't like the him but, the story made me so hooked on it. You have to see it yourself it is really good.

Well, I can only speak for myself... but I saw it Opening night, at midnight. I read the series that New Moon is from, so that's why I love it. Yes, the male characters are very... attractive. But I really don't care about that, I just really like the story, and I like the characters. Since I read the books I was very excited to see New Moon in movie form to see how they adapted the story. I am actually planning on seeing it again next week. Anyway, yes, a lot of people want to see it to see a shirtless Taylor Lautner, but there are a lot of people who are like me, who read the books and are just hardcore fans. Then of course there are people who like it for both reasons. But really why do people go crazy for ANY movie? It's just the way it is. LOL But I do think that there are a few reasons why the audience for this is largely female is because it is a love story, and of course because of the guys in the film. And love stories in general aren't something most guys rush to see, unless they are going with their girlfriend/wife/female friend, etc.

I am a new moon/twilight saga fan myself. I think the movie is popular for a number of reasons: it's based on the 2nd book of the insanely popular twilight saga, Rob Pattinson and Taylor Lautner (the two male stars) are really hot, and the special effects are amazing. w

Well it depends if your friends read the book or not. They may just be really into the story and really want to see the movie for that reason. If they already read the book they are already infactuated with the charahters in the movie and the added bonus of the boys playing them doesn't mean much.
