How secure is your wireless network?

What kind of wireless protection are you using?
Even if you have a password on it, it's pretty easy to brake, even people with basic computer knowledge can go through it. Have you ever received a much larger internet bill than you think you should have? Well there's a chance you're not the only one who's using your internet connection.
Even I connected countless times to someone's wireless using my laptop when I didn't have my own available. Hope they have a flatrate lol. Do you have flat?
I use simple WEP protection but I'm planing to set up WPA2 encryption and allow only mac addresses of my 2 computers so there won't be a way that somebody would connect.

I don't even have wireless. I still use a router with a 15m cable connecting to my phone line.

That's the best way for stable connection. I wish my desktop PC could be connected by cable so I wouldn't get all sort of weird lag while playing games. But the router is downstairs so it's the only way. Maybe I'll get 30 meters cable lol. But at least I can surf from the bed with my laptop

Actually, it can be quite unstable. It was screwing up before and I called up my provider and they asked me how long the cable was and they said it was too long. I get a lot of ping than I used to when I ran speed tests.

Thanks for the info. So I guess wireless could be better choice than 30 meters ethernet cable. I need a good ping in games but I'm not getting it with this connection

I hate those. I had only 512MB monthly bandwidth available and I crossed it bigtime and ended up with bill for exactly $1000 (read ONE THOUSAND DOLLAR). I'm making some money online so I can pay them back. Jesus I was an idiot
