So my sister had her first daughter last February and I decided that for my niece's birthday I was going to start a scrapbook. I've already started my own for college and one for my younger sister for high school so I figured this would be something great to do.
Now I'm just sort of stuck about which pages to make. I know I'll have ages and like first christmas, etc. but are there any other special pages you think I should add? Also is there an age I should plan on stopping because I don't want it to be so huge and I still want it to flow really well.
Thanks

that's a lovely idea for your niece. I'm sure she'd love it.
I would say make a page for when she was born, first day out of the hospital, and let the photos guide you along. for instance, a funny expression - you can journal about that. or quirky habits, like sucking her thumb or sleeping on her side.
perhaps you can do one per month for the first year. and then one every half a year hence. because i find they change the most dramatically in the first year and look so different each month! AFter they hit age one, they somehow look more or less the same... :)
happy scrapping!

Well, I'm too familiar with making scrapbooks but I'm going to draw my experience with photo albums. The pictures don't necessarily have to be about something as "their first" this or that but I put in photos that show people having fun and enjoying themselves with the company of friends and family.

Just in general i think the children are always happy to recieve a scrapbook of thier every year once they are more grownups and understand the value of the stories it contains. You dont necessarily make it for specific subjects, but a good alternative is first christmas, new year, birthday, first friend, etc... everytime there is some sort of milestone and worth memory... Then later on there can be added sports or school acchivements...
My mum has a scrapbook containin most of my results from my shooting, including cutouts from news papers and so on. Very interesting to look through once in a while, and remember the good days :)
