Season Finale Wow  | | | |  I won't say exactly what happened, in case there are some avid watchers who didn't get to see the season finale, but I wanted to get peoples reactions, I sort of had a feeling something like that MIGHT happen because dexter is just not meant to be Ward Cleaver, I feel the show was more interesting when he was on his own in his apartment, but i did love Rita, especially since she was in Angel, I thought she was great as Darla, she was also in Roswell, I just really think she's a good actress.

| |  As soon as Dexter walked through the door I knew something bad happened. I read that the finale would have something crazy in it and other than what happened to the bad guy I was still expecting something else. I guess the next season will be Dexter going through life alone, which I like too. Also I thought what Deb was finding out about Dexter was pretty cool too.
I liked Julie Benz in the Saw Movie, I can't remember what number. I wish there was just one more episode of Dexter! I hate that we have to wait a long time for the DVDs to come out.

| |  I had a feeling SOMETHING might happen but I didn't expect that and I didn't expect her to die. The ending was just so...gee, I can't even think of the right word to describe it. Somehow anti-climatic but that's not quite right, either. I guess I would have expected a confrontation with the killer with Dexter saving his wife and baby and THEN killing him. All I know is it was a twist to end all twists!

| |  I didn't see it coming, I remember reading around the start of the season that a major cast member would be killed by Trinity, I thought Lundy counted for it, and the whole thing was just rumors to throw everybody off of who really killed Lundy, boy was I wrong. Rita's death completely changes the series. Dexter has three kids to raise on his own now (though I expect Deb will assist some) and he has lost the woman he loves just as he had come to realize he was happy with what he had and wanted nothing more.

| | It sure does change the whole series! I'm really going to miss Rita and I think she provided a sort of normalcy and stability to the character of Dexter. I wonder if Rita's mother or Rita's first husband's parents will try to get custody of the two older kids? That would make for an interesting storyline, maybe one of THEM has a murder or two in their past... Dexter could kill two birds with one stone.
