Can I put links in my discussions?

I have a discussion I would like to talk about but to really make it affective I have a link to back up what I am going to discuss. Am I allowed to do that?
And if not, can I copy and paste information from another website during a discussion instead?

Hi!!
You're are allowed to post links corresponding to other websites but you aren't allowed to post your referral links in the discussion you create.You can copy and paste the information from the other site but do mention the source name before or below the discussion or else you might be accused of plagiarism and if reported you might lose your mylot account,so be careful.Instead of copying from that site,why don't you put up the whole thing in your own words in short,that shouldn't be a problem for you I guess :).Keep posting,have a good day!
