Have you ever partcipate in debates?

Yes. I remember to have participated in debates in my college days. How about you? Did you participate in debates during your college days? Participating in debates enriches our knowledge and builds the facutly of logical acumen in us. Teachers in schools and colleges should do their best to encourage the students to participate in debates both intra and inter collegiate.

i loved to participate in debates both in school and college .but due to my stage fear i hardly won a prize. i think the best i did was to win consolation prize in the eighth grade but that has not stopped me from participating.as i always dreamt to be good orator.may be someday.....

I think debates are a good way for students to learn how to develop their own opinion and stand up for them. So far in my student life, I've only had one experience with a debate in class and it was a great learning experience. I actually enjoyed doing the research and having facts to back up my argument.

We participated in a debate - a friendly debate with some of my classmates when I was in college. It was a very good opportunity to practice what we have learned in our class. It goes well but of course, there is not winner during debates but heads become hot. I think that it would be good to have some healthy debates in life not only in school.
