After the birthday celebration of my daughter, she immediately asked me if she could open the gifts she received. She was very excited to see what's inside her gifts. When she started opening the gifts, I could see in her innocent eyes the real excitement of having lots of gifts.2 responses

I can understand it. I know that kids like gifts, not only kids, everybody likes to recieve gifts, but the only thing I hate about gifts is saying some body what to get for me. Gifts should be given as a surprise. There is no fun in getting a gift if we know about the thing we get. It is real fun to open a gift box with lots of hope and anxiety.

Gifts are supposed to be given freely. Sometimes people ask what gifts to give in order for them to be sure that what they will give will be liked by the receiever.

The hope, anxiety and suspense are the best things about a gift. If the gift is a good one, then the emotion that follows is joy and excitement. If a gift is not so good then one feels disappointed and sad.
But gifts need not to be given as surprise. Imagine getting pens as gifts in every birthday. It is better to ask someone to give you just money, or a gaming cd for a change. It is a gift alright as well as something which you is more useful to you than lots of pens.

I also like having gifts for my birthday. I think all the people love having it. But when I was kid, I suppose to enjoy them more than now, when I grown up.

I also love to receive gifts but I seldom receive gifts. It is only my husband who gives me gifts. I am always excited whenever he gives gift for me during special occassion.
