Who's better celtics or lakers  

i am beginning to like celtics because of their roster line up! and it's kinda boring for lakers coz it's all about kobe... i still love cavs because of James. =)

Both of these two teams have their own brand of players with their own brand of play. I admire both the Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics because they are leading the field in terms of win-loss records. We will certainly know which of these two teams is better as the season goes along. I just hope that they will do well so that if there is a possibility, they will meet in the finals that will be exciting for everybody.

hello bigplay.. i think you were referring to "gasol" right?.. between lakers and celts i guess im a laker fan.. but then again im a cavalier fan.. the reason why i like lakers better is that its not about kobe anymore.. notice that bryant learned to share the ball to his teammates and he wants his teammates to be aggressive on the court.. he can now dish out nifty passes to his teammates and make them look good while scoring himself.. on the other hand, celts have a deep roster but then again i dont like their style.. their team has 4 superstars in the roster.. some teams dont even have players with superstar caliber.. but then again these minor teams can manage to win a few games.. with pierce allen garnet and wallace, the celts could have been unstoppable but then again they can still be defeated.. with the big 3 and wallace of the bench, i thought the celts would be a powerhouse team.. however its like the lakers are the ones emerging to be the powerhouse team of the nba.. with kobe's supporting cast on his team and his superstar ability, the lakers might have a good run for the finals this year.. but i dont bet on the lakers vs celtics finals.. i wanna see lakers vs cavaliers in the finals.. i wanna see kobe and lebron go head to head and then we'll see whos the better superstar..

It's a tough one but I'd give the Los Angeles Lakers a little edge. The Lakers have kept almost their entire championship core and in fact made it a lot more formidable. Ron Artest is a big addition for the Lakers. With Artest, the Lakers now have a better one-on-one and lockdown defender which could really help them a lot against the likes of Carmelo Anthony, LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Joe Johnson. Artest is a very scrappy player too whose could draw comparisons to Phil Jackson's former Chicago Bulls ward Dennis Rodman. Of course, Kobe Bryant remains as the Lakers on court and vocal leader. Bryant has grown into a leader from a mere scoring machine. Bryant have gained massive respect from his teammates and other players as well and is one of the most feared players in the NBA. His 27+ points per game is a testament of how good Bryant is despite the presence of Pau Gasol, Andrew Bynum, Artest, Lamar Odom, and Derek Fisher. Gasol and Bynum on the other hand are among the better big men in the league and they are playing for the same team. The Lakers is an almost complete team. They've got a solid interior presence in Gasol, Bynum, and sometimes Odom, a tested and proven scorer and leader in Bryant who's also a good defender along with Artest, and a reliable backcourt made up of Fisher, Jordan Farmar, and Shannon Brown. A key component for the Lakers is Phil Jackson. Jackson is heralded as one of the best coaches in the NBA. He's led the Bulls to 6 titles and the Lakers to already 4 so far. Jackson is somewhat grooming the Lakers after the Bulls especially the triangle offense. If Jackson had Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, and Dennis Rodman/Toni Kukoc as his big 3 with the Bulls, he's got Bryant, Gasol, Bynum, and Artest as his big 4 with the Lakers. Add Odom to the list and he's got a lot better team.

The Celtics on the other hand had their big 3 of their own. The return of Kevin Garnett to the line-up makes the Celtics among the title favorites once again. Paul Pierce and Ray Allen are still playing at a very high level of basketball while Rajon Rondo is trying to make his mark as one of the best point guards in the league. The biggest story for the Celtics though for the 2009-2010 season was the acquisition of Rasheed Wallace. Wallace is a tested and proven veteran who had very successful stints with the Portland Trail Blazers and the Detroit Pistons. The Celtics main advantage over other teams is their experience. Garnett, Pierce, Allen, and Wallace are all veterans and all have made it to the playoffs a lot of times in their careers. Though the Celtics are not as deep as Orlando or Dallas or as versatile as the Lakers, their experience is more than enough to keep them afloat and even on top the standings. Marquis Daniels is a good addition for the Celtics too as he can provide quality minutes for either Pierce and Allen. Among the Celtics that can make some noise are Kendrick Perkins, Eddie House, and Glen Davis, all part of the 2008 title winning Boston team.

Both the Lakers and the Celtics had their share of early limelight as both have won 11 straight games. The Lakers though failed to make it twelve after losing to the Utah Jazz when Bryant played with a hurting pinkie. The Celtics' 11-game winning streak is still alive and got the potential of making it 12 or more. Another thing to consider is that the Celtics has been the best road team so far. They have won 12 out of 13 road games so far and had the distinction of the first team to win 20 games for the 2009-2010 season (Celtics is 20-4 as of this writing). The Lakers on the other hand are close behind with 19-4 but played merely 6 road games, winning 4 of them. The Lakers tough test is still to come as they'll play more road games. Scheduling might be tight. Though the Celtics have the better record to show, the Lakers still have the slight edge. They are both very experienced and deep teams but the Lakers are a lot younger and have the slight size advantage.

i used to like celtics, where larry bird, kevin mchale & robert parish still playing
but now i prefer lakers.
kobe bryant, pau gasol, lamar odom, andrew bynum and the coach phill jackson are a solid team and they had proved that last season by winning the NBA title.
with new recruitment Ron Artest this season, i think they'll become stronger.

I am going to Laker this year ... u want to bet? laker will get another champion this year.

Personaly I think that Boston are better. In last seasons I didnt liked them both. But after Sheed came to Boston, their squad is just almoust perfect.
