I am pregnant with baby #2. With my son I don't recall having any Braxton Hicks contractions at all and he was born on his due date. He is almost 11, so it is possible I have forgotten With this baby for the last 2 weeks I have had contractions on and off. I'm not due until Feb 20th. I had mentioned this to my OB/GYN and he said that all women have them in the 3rd Trimester. I was wondering, if you had Braxton Hicks contractions, do you think that it affected how soon the baby was born?

Well, some women even experience braxton hicks since their second trimester. I'm 38 weeks pregnant and never experience it, not even once. Braxton hicks is contraction practice, I do not think it has anything to do with your due date. Every pregnancy is different and as long as your doctor isn't concern about that, then you do not need to worry.

I'm not worried. Just tired of being pregnant since I'm actually starting to feel and look pregnant. with my son I knew the due date in my head and that is when he was born, not so clear with this kiddo.

I don't really remember having any contractions with my kids. Of course all 3 of mine decided to stay in as long as they could. Our first one was 4 days late, our second was 5 days late and our third was 4 days late and counting but they had to induce me because my blood pressure was up a little and wouldn't come down. I don't know if it means your baby would come early or not. I hoped mine would come early since they say after the first they sometimes come a little bit earlier, but no such luck for me.

I have always heard that the 1st baby comes either on time, but usually it comes late. My son was born on my original due date and when I thought he was going to be born - was on time. I was induced but was in labor when they induced me - if that makes sense - because the OB/GYN I had switched to mid-pregnancy said I was a week over due.

Braxton Hicks contractions happened after 37 weeks in all three of my pregnancies. My midwife told me it was my body getting ready for labor. I got so many braxton hicks contractions that I wasn't sure it was labor when my babies began labor for me. I got such mild contractions with my baby daughter this June that I wondered if I was in labor. The show let me know when I had my toddler son. I felt unwell all day when I was pregnant with my teenage son and then strong contractions began. All my babies were born at 39 weeks to 40 weeks plus 2 days.
