Did anyone see clips of the other D1ck Armey from the AFP teaparty rally in Washington the other day? The one where he slammed Rachel Maddow but referred to her as "a woman named, uh, uh, uh, “Maddox”? He was apparently preparing to introduce Sen. Tom Coburn, but he referred to him as “Doc Colbin”.
Here's what Armey said and a link you can click (hopefully!) to see and hear it for yourself:The last time [Coburn] and I were together, I had the amazing opportunity to watch him receive a lecture on health care from a woman named, uh, uh, uh, “Maddox.” A television personality. Who I’m told has a Ph.D. in something that doesn’t matter. Who knew she was qualified to lecture the good physician on health care in America because she had actually gone to a doctor once:http://videocafe.crooksandliars.com/heather/rachel-maddow-responds-d1ck-armeys-smear-d
I already know how most of you who will be reading this feel about Rachel so you don't need to waste your energy to tell me about it. What I'd LIKE to know is how you feel about having a spokesman like this D1ck Armey speaking for your side? He sure acted like he was on something to me, probably a large amount of alcohol, or is that just how he normally acts when he's among what he considers to be his friends and allies?
Just asking...
Annie
P.S., the myLot censors hit the link as well as my text so you'll have to change the "1" to an "i" in order to visit the site to see the video! SORRY...

...Hui annie, I did not watch the rally or see Mr. Armey introducing the speakers. But if you have seen him on television, he always seems to slur his words and speaks like he has been drinking for a long time. As for Rachael, the woman is so smart, she takes me out, with so much information. She is one of the few Rhodes Scholar anchors on television, if there are any others. So he can try to take her down with insulting words, but she can very well hold her own. He can't stand her, because she did a report on his dealings on her show, with a lobbying firm and his support for something that was in conflict with the firm, and he had to resign. Whenever someone causes someone to lose money, it does not sit well. So therein lies the anger he feels toward Rachael. Too bad, too good. :0). Take care.

You're right, Rachel is very intelligent, very well educated and very well-informed and thorough in her investigative reporting. It's fine that some disagree with her views but she's also been very respectful when she's had people on her show with whom she disagrees and they with her.
