Do you ever look at your kids EMOTIONAL qualities, NOT physical qualities and go "Where did you get that from?". Just something that is totally different from you and your daughter or you and your son???

hi ja! i have one daughter and i can say with utmost confidence that all her good qualities she got from me and all her bad qualities she got from her mom. lol!!! seriously, yes i do see a part of myself and that of my wife in our daughter and i can only be amazed. she has picked up all the good and sadly bad traits of me and my wife. right now, i just condition my daughter about what traits she should keep and what traits she should ditch. i know it is easier said than done but i try to lead by example so to speak. when i'm around my daughter, i do not cuss, nor lose my temper. i also refrain from making nasty comments whatsoever. in short i put my best foot forward everytime i'm around my daughter. yeah, unbelievable but i try. lol!!! cheers!!!

I only have one child and I don’t see any emotional traits in her that are unlike us! She has both my husband’s personality traits and she acts and behaves just like me and that is scary! She looks like the spitting image of her father but resembles me in so many other ways; it is difficult to accept my bad habits when I see her displaying them. It is difficult because children definitely learn by example, they watch us and emulate and it is not always a good thing! So...No...No different traits here!

It's like watching yourself grow? Lol :) But in all truth, when we have children, then we really DO grow with them even more
