Family have few days in one year when all must to meet each other, to take dinner or lunch, to talk, to see each others; all this meeting are in your house or in your parents house, or your brother or sister house? Do you like to invite your family in your house or like you go to visit your family? You respect same tradition all time, or every year you and your family change your meeting place? So, you are one who like to stay at home in those special days, or like to go in visit?

Usually during christmas time, I fly back home to my mom's place several days before christmas because of the winter final exams being over. It's been a family tradition to spend christmas at my grandmother's apartment. It's in NYC, so usually most of my mom's side of the immediate family meet at grandma's place and celebrate christmas there. It's a great way to meet up and catch up with all of the family. I don't know how next year will be like because I will be graduating this may from college, and might have to focus on working so I can pay off these student loans that I have. It might be different, but for now, I am looking forward to seeing my family again one more time :D

Hey icesmile! I don't really have any family except for my Mom. And she lives in Florida which is kind of far from where I live in NY. I just went to see her in June and am planning another trip to see her again this Spring because she is turning 80 years old! So on Christmas I usually spend time with whichever of my friends who are also going to without their families because they also live too far away to visit or don't have family that they can spend time with! This Christmas it will be me, my boyfriend and one of my girlriend's who also spent Thanksgiving with us! It will be a quiet celebration, but we will have fun! And then New Year's if will be just me and my boyfriend and my two cats! I don't like going out on New Year's Eve!

In China, Spring Festival is the most important holiday just like Christmas. Family should get together to have dinner in the Spring Festival's eve. At the first day of Spring Festival, people would stay at home do nothing just relax to rest for the last year's hard working. From the second day on, people will vivist their older relatives and have dinner together. Afterwards, old friends will meet to celebrate the new year's coming. So normally we both stay at home and go in visit in Spring Festival long holidays, about a week's off.
