HI! 2 days ago I watched a movie called "Christmas story", a movie made in Finland, just about the story from Santa Claus. You can watch it too. He was a young boy, when his family died in the lake- his father, mother and sister. Then the whole fisherman village, where he lived, decide to take care for him, like every family will take care for the young boy for only year(till Christmas) and then he goes to another family! I forgot to mention- the boy calls Nikolas. End on every Christmas he makes a toy from wood for his dead sister and puts it in the lake with the words: "Merry Christmas, Aada!" Aada is th name of his sister. So with the years he makes more and more toys for every child in the village and in the Christmas night e goes and leaves the toys in front of the doors. But when there is no fish and no food the people can't care any more for the grown boy and they give them to a man, who sells furniture and lives away from the village. With the time the boy and the man become friends, and they both begin make toys for the children. But when the man is gone, he leave him a casket full of money, and Nikolaus buy himself a red roves and hat, and so begins the story of Santa Claus.
Just watch the movie- it is one of the greatest movies I have ever watched. thumbupthumbupthumbup

I have been researching this for many years, and have found an origin of this story,in parts of Russia,Slovakia, etc.a person Ded Moroz,or people as it would turn out to be,were sadistic killers, who prayed mainly on children, whom they would take and sacrifice to their god(still researching this defunct religion).Ded Moroz naet b ropoa(santa claus is coming to town)used to be a phrase that would inspire the villages to hide their children.Ded Moroz only seems to have appeared around late December. So it appears this character we lie to our children about, used to kill them.
