If the world could no longer sustain its wild animals, yet you were given the opportunity to save just one species, which one would you choose and why, tiger, monkey, kangaroo, which would be the species you would choose and why

This is a tough question, with so many different wild animals in this world. I would have to lean towards the penguins. I learned a lot about these interesting birds when my oldest was into them one year. With so many different types of penguins it would be hard, but since the polar ice caps are melting. Penguins needs help from losing their homes. They will not have a place to hatch their young. I could go on and on about each group of penguins, until something is done. They will slowly die off, and sad to say this also goes for the Polar bear. Since they share the same environment.

Now that is hard to decide since I love so many different species. We learn from so many different ones. I guess if I truly had to choose it would be the one that is more friendly, less dangerous..the monkey's I guess although they can be dangerous themselves and cause harm, just maybe not so much as the other species. But then I could be really wrong about.

Giraffes - because they are UTTERLY cool! I do love giraffes and feel the world would be a great deal less without them. BUT, let us consider this - if giraffes were introduced as a meat animal, they would be grazing on trees instead of grasses and shrubs, they can eat things with thorns that other animals can't so they could share pasturage with other food animals without the impact that another grass eater would give it. It could share graze with other animals, and still provide protection from the predators they do now as the "Watchtowers of the Savannah." Yes, they are still wild animals, but they are already less afraid of people than some of the wild animals because the fact they aren't too afraid of other predators, being large enough as adults to kill lions. Only young giraffes, the elderly or infirm are in danger of predators, and other animals have learned to hang out with them because they spot the predators before they can. So, while I probably wouldn't eat a giraffe myself, I think that it should be considered adding them to a species that could be very valuable to men.

I would save the baby seals in the arctic they they slaughter to make expensive coats from. I saw a documentary on National Geographic once, and saw how they slaughter them...ohhh..I was in tears. How can anybody murder those cute white lovely eyed baby creatures ?

I would save the kangaroo because it is a unique animal in a special country. I would like to see it become as respected as the koala. I don't think there is a lack of kangaroos in Australia I am pleased to say. Perhaps it is the tiger that is threatened and should be saved. I haven't ever seen a tiger in the wild. I wish that I could see some wild tigers. If they could be saved it would be excellent.

for this discussion every animal would be extinct so then you would only be able to choose one animal you thought you would love to save. I love so many animals it would be difficult for me to decide, but I think I might go with the polar bear as my first choice, and I am cheating her but the mountain lion as my second.

There is no doubt in my mind...it would be the beautiful..majestic, regal POLAR BEAR! Our indiginous Canadian Polar Bear. Why...because I feel a responsibility for the demise of it's habitat, and of my patronizing, in the past of the products that have caused the denigration of it's habitat! Happy holidays & Cheers!

For me it would have to be the wolve. They are slaughtering them in several states nearby including mine. I am afraid they are not long for this world. I see people with the wolve as their avatar online all the time. I am just afraid that this wonderful animal will not be around much longer. They are being shot from airplane and slaughtered by spoiled ranchers. I am appaled by it all!!!!
