reason for being dismissed

saturday morning i tock my girlfriend to the doctors. i called up at 9 30 left a message with the bar man. I was met to start at 10.am than when i had finished at 12 am i call work to tell them i was on my way in. I was than told by the mamager that the head chef sad not to come in. so sunday i turned up as normal to start at 10am and was told by the chef not to bother and to come back on wednesday after my 2 rostered days off. He told me he would have a think about it. The question is can i be dismissed for this.

Around here you would be terminated. You have to talk to the manager, not leave a message with someone else to give to the manager. However, you had an emergency, they should make an exception. Did the bar man pass on your message?
